The maths behind it

Three steps, all simple ratios. Worked example: 5 mg of peptide reconstituted with 2 ml of bacteriostatic water, measuring out 250 mcg.

01

Concentration

peptide (mcg) ÷ water (ml)

5 mg is 5,000 mcg. 5,000 ÷ 2 ml = 2,500 mcg per ml.

02

Volume to draw

amount (mcg) ÷ concentration

250 ÷ 2,500 = 0.1 ml of solution holds 250 mcg.

03

Syringe units

volume (ml) × 100

On a U-100 scale, 100 units = 1 ml, so 0.1 ml = 10 units.

Need bacteriostatic water?

Bacteriostatic water is stocked alongside the catalogue, in 3 ml and 10 ml vials, so reconstitution supplies arrive in the same order.
